The name Achroite comes from the Greek achroos, meaning “without color.”
First identified in the 19th century within Tourmaline deposits in Elba, Italy, and later Madagascar and Afghanistan, it has always been prized for its translucence and ethereal energy.

Unlike other Tourmaline types, which display vibrant shades, Achroite’s purity made it sacred to early mystics who believed it represented the unmanifest — the bridge between the physical and the divine.
